The only chance to most of the scares animals including the Big 5 (elephants, rhinos, buffalo, lion and leopard). Pilanesberg national park has more than 6000 animals making it difficult to see more of these in a short period of time, and our beautiful plains and mountains in a 5500 hectares of land that makes that makes it the biggest tourist attraction in South Africa.
All game drives will be ready 15 minute before departure and all passengers must be ready for introduction 10 minutes prior
It was so nice and amazing to have a drive with you ? [?]. - Ksm
Overall, the experience was good. We weren't very lucky with the lions, but we managed to see various animals and reached the mountain top, which offered a beautiful view. What I consider a bit unfair was the duration of the Safari (game). It wasn't really 6 hours game; it started at 9:30 AM and lunch was served at 1:30 PM. After that, we returned to the starting point. The lunch was quite disappointing---cold hamburgers and a long wait to be served. There were 12 of us, and everyone complained. It would have been much better to leave with a discount on the ticket rather than having that lunch. This was the biggest letdown. Comparing with friends who did the 3-hour game, we realized that it would have been much better and more economical to go for the 3-hour option. Great job overall, and I hope you can improve this part. - Cristian
The reservation process worked well. The agent I worked with on the phone was friendly, cheerful, and efficient. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The truck was clean and relatively comfortable (compared to other safari vehicles I have been on). I would rate the experience as a good one compared to many other game drives I have participated in. The woman with us who had never been on a game drive before was thrilled with the number and quality of sightings. We thank you. The real con I have though is that after lunch the trip seemed to change to very low energy. We mostly just moved back very slowly on the main roads to the Manyane gate with a few slow side trips. We got back to the gate about 20 minutes early. I would have preferred as much energy and effort into game viewing for the entire day. - Mary
